Limassol is famous for Cypriot festivals including Carnival, a 10-day festival dating back to pagan ritual time and Wine Festival, held in the first quarter of September. Here, visitors are able to try Cypriot wines for free. In May, check out Flower Festival and visit in June when the Festival of the Flood is held.
Limassol offers a range of restaurants serving Cypriot food as well as many other cuisines. The main square in Old Town is full of such cafes and restaurants. The Vinarte Wine Bar is a must-visit. Limassol has a lively nightlife with a varied choice of bars, cafes, clubs and pubs. It is also home to the Rialto Theatre, the south coast's most prestigious venue for theatrical events and performances.
The Sayious Adventure Park is the perfect spot for the adrenaline junkies arriving in Limassol, with off-roading, go-karting and archery being just some of the activities you’ll find here.
Limassol is located close to both Larnaca International Airport and Paphos International Airport. Inner city buses are available to get around to other cities.
If you want to travel like a local, jump on to public transport. For more independence, cars are also available to rent.

During the winter months, the weather is still pleasant although some rainfall may be experienced with anywhere between 117 - 133mm for Dec and Jan. Cyprus is generally a very sunny island, this goes for winter too with the sun out for approximately 6 hours per day. In summer there can be 12 to 13 hours of sun per day.
