Depart Melbourne for the breathtaking Great Ocean Road, a 250km route of Australia's windswept coast. Wind through Otway National Park's vast hinterlands and thundering waterfalls before hitting the coast to see the rock formations of Port Campbell National Park including the 12 Apostles, Loch Ard Gorge and the free-standing natural arch known as London Bridge!
Enter South Australia on your drive along the Limestone Coast, pass the historic fishing town of Port Fairy and continue to Mount Gambier and Robe before reaching Adelaide.
Tour this delightful city of parklands and historic buildings and then head out of the city to visit Haigh's Chocolate factory and stop at the seaside town of Glenelg.
Take a day at leisure to explore the food and wine capital of Australia or join a day trip to Kangaroo Island or the Barossa Valley, booked locally at an additional cost.
Take a flight to Alice Springs. Upon arrival join a city tour including the School of Air and the Royal Flying Doctor Service for a real insight into life in the outback.
Travel from Alice Springs to Uluru (Ayers Rock) through rugged desert landscapes. Take a short time to relax upon arrival before heading to Kata Tjuta for the best sunset experience in Australia. Admire the magnificent outback and domes of Kata Tjuta whilst relaxing with canapes and Australian wine.
Start early and arrive in darkness for the Uluru Sunrise & Field of Light. Marvel at the 50,000 globes of light in the desert that make up the work of artist Bruce Monroe before heading to the viewing platform where you can enjoy a hot drink whilst the sun creeps into the sky past Uluru, transforming the colours of the great rock and flooding the landscape with light all the way to Kata Tjuta in the distance. After the tour, catch your flight to Cairns.
After breakfast, join your Michaelmas Cay Cruise. Set sail aboard the beautiful catamaran to experience Michaelmas Cay's unique reef environment - a pristine sand cay surrounded by fringing reef and a protected sanctuary for migratory seabirds. Enjoy all the included activities of the day, snorkelling, cruising in the semi-sub for a diver's view, watching the fish feeding and observing the island birdlife. Throughout the day, the 'beach buggy shuttle' will transfer you between your catamaran and the beach. If you prefer a more leisurely day, simply relax on the beach or on deck.
After breakfast transfer to Freshwater Station to board the Kuranda Scenic Rail. Upon arrival in Kuranda, it's time to explore this fascinating village. After lunch board the Kuranda Skyrail cable car for your return journey to Caravonica Lakes from where your coach will transfer you to your hotel.
Today is at leisure to enjoy this vibrant city with a laid-back, outdoor lifestyle, the city centre is a short walk away where you could visit the Cairns Aquarium, Art Gallery, or the Esplanade Lagoon.
Fly to Sydney, on arrival you will have some time to relax.

Travel to the UNESCO-list Blue Mountains National Park stopping at Scenic World and Echo Point famed for their spectacular views. Stop in Leura, a beautiful town famous for its antique stores and the on to Featherdale Wildlife Park where you can hand-feed Kangaroos, Wallabies and Emus, and come face-to-face with Koalas. Return to Sydney via the Olympic Park.
Take a day to relax in Sydney, explore, head to one of the beaches or get some last-minute souvenirs.
After breakfast, you will be transferred for your return flight, via Kuala Lumpur or continue to your chosen extension.

We strongly recommend that you and all members of your party are suitably insured as soon as you book your holiday. It is a condition of booking that you must have suitable travel insurance. It is important that you purchase travel insurance that suitably covers your participation in whatever activities you may undertake at the time that you make your booking. If booking more than 10 weeks before departure a deposit of €300pp will need to be paid at the time of booking with the full amount payable at 10 weeks prior to departure. The deposit applies to adults and children. If you are within 10 weeks of travel then the full balance of the holiday will be payable.
Your initial flight is to Melbourne Airport via Kuala Lumpur with Malaysia Airlines (MH), departing from London Heathrow Terminal 4.
IMPORTANT: Please note that final flight details will be confirmed on your final documentation which will be sent to you approximately 10 days before departure. A printed E-ticket is no longer required at check-in, all you need to do is present your passport and boarding pass to the staff at the desk.
Each passenger is entitled to 23KG of hold luggage plus I item of hand luggage not exceeding (Max 7kg - 56cm/45cm/25cm) in size and I personal item such as a handbag, briefcase or laptop case. Weight restrictions will be finalized on E-ticket receipt. Should you wish to take additional luggage you will need to pay extra at check-in. Check-in should be at least 3 hours before departure.

The minimum number of travellers in your group will be 10, and the maximum will be 40. If in the unlikely event there are less than 10 people booked on your tour date, we will endeavour to reduce any disruption to your holiday and try to operate your tour with lower passenger numbers. If we are not able to operate your departure date, then you may be asked to change to a different date and a full refund will be made available to you should this alternative not be suitable.
The currency in Australia is Australian Dollars. We recommend that you exchange your currency before you leave the UK. It is important to budget carefully and ensure you have the right form of currency before you arrive in the country.
